Open-top 4x4, water fights at every village, freezing-cold canyon water at Saklıkent and trout lunch at Yakapark — the Fethiye jeep safari is the cheapest fun day around.
If you're trying to find a tour that's fun for grandparents, teenagers and 6-year-olds at the same time without spending a fortune, the Fethiye jeep safari is hard to beat. €30 per adult, €20 per child, full day, hotel pickup. The catch? You will get wet. That's the point.
What you're actually doing
You ride in a topless Land Rover-style 4x4 in convoy with 5–10 other jeeps. The route winds up through the Toros mountain villages, where local kids — half the village, by tradition — wait at the roadside with hosepipes and water guns. You pass them, they soak you. Drivers slow down on purpose. By the third village, you've bought your own water gun and you're firing back.
The route
- Hotel pickup 09:00 from Fethiye, Çalış, Hisarönü, Ölüdeniz
- Mountain villages and water-fight stretch
- Saklıkent Canyon — wade upstream into a 300-metre-deep gorge, water that's painfully cold even in August
- Lunch at Yakapark — riverside trout restaurant where the fish swim under your table
- Optional zip-line at the lunch stop (extra)
- Return to your hotel late afternoon
Practical info
Tour runs Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. About 8–9 hours total. Hotel transfer is included. Lunch and any optional activities (Saklıkent rope crossing, zip-line) are paid on site.
Price
Adult €30, child €20. This is genuinely the lowest-priced full day on our menu, and that's by design — it's the gateway tour. Plenty of guests do the jeep safari on day three of their holiday and book a second tour with us before the safari ends.
What to bring
Swimsuit under your clothes, full change of clothes for after, water shoes (essential for Saklıkent — the bed is sharp pebbles), small towel, sunscreen, and €5 for a water gun if you want to fight back.
Who it's not for
Anyone with serious back issues — the road is bumpy on purpose. Anyone in white linen. If you want a calmer day in the same area, look at the Saklıkent canyon tour with a regular bus instead.
Booking
Spots fill up fast in July and August. Reserve the jeep safari a couple of days ahead and we'll confirm the pickup time the night before.
