Kaş & Kalkan Day Tour from Fethiye: Patara, Kalkan, Kaputaş

The most scenic stretch of Turkey's Mediterranean coast, in one day: Patara's empty 18 km beach, Kalkan's whitewashed alleys, Kaputaş cove and Kaş cobblestones.
Drive south from Fethiye and the Mediterranean coast turns from "very nice" to "frame-this-photo" within an hour. Patara's beach is too long to cross. Kaputaş is a perfectly cropped turquoise cove between two cliffs. Kalkan and Kaş are the two prettiest small towns on the south coast — and you can see all four in one well-paced day.
The route
- Hotel pickup ~07:30 (Fethiye, Çalış, Hisarönü, Ölüdeniz)
- Patara Beach — 18 km of unbroken sand, also a UNESCO-listed Lycian capital with a Roman theatre at the entrance
- Kalkan — viewpoint over the bay, white houses with bougainvillea, lunch break
- Kaputaş Beach — short stop, a few hundred steps down to one of Turkey's most photographed coves
- Kaş — guided walking tour through the cobblestone old town, time to swim or browse
- Return to your hotel by evening
Why this tour over individual visits
Each of these places is worth a day on its own — but only Patara and Kaş are easy to reach by public transport, and Kaputaş has no parking and no bus stop. The tour solves that: you get all four with a guide who tells you what you're looking at and times the stops to avoid the worst crowds.
Practical info
Tour runs Wednesdays and Saturdays. About 11 hours total. Hotel transfer and English/Russian/Turkish guide are included; lunch and entrance fees (Patara archaeological site) are paid separately.
Price
Adult €60, child €50. The day covers more ground than any other tour in our menu — over 200 km round-trip — and the comfortable bus matters.
What to bring
Swimsuit and towel (you'll want to swim at Kaputaş or Patara), comfortable walking shoes for Kaş, sun protection, and a wide-brim hat. Patara has very little shade.
Best time of year
Late May, June, September and early October are the best — water warm, towns not yet at peak crowds. July and August work but Kaputaş gets full by 11:00, so plan to take it for granted as a viewpoint rather than a swim.
